Computer Armoire

The guest room in the Sonoma residence plays double duty as a home office. The clients requested me to design a computer armoire which was functional, but also would be beautiful when not open and in use. The small space between the entrance and the bathroom door dictated its width. Because of the severe geometry of the decoration and design, its height could only be the same as the width. Likewise the doors, and finally the inset green glass window tiles. Many iterations of the deceptively simple piece of furniture were produced with lots of notes and emails between the clients and myself before there was a final design.
